Aim Awards

The Vision: The AIM Awards required a visual landscape that felt both prestigious and high-energy, designed to celebrate the vanguard of independent music. Working as the Lighting Design partners alongside the production and content team at Black Skull Creative, our objective was to integrate a sophisticated atmosphere into their structural vision. The challenge was to create a stage that felt physically imposing in the room while maintaining a sharp, premium aesthetic for a global audience.

The Manifestation: The visual identity of the awards was built on a foundation of bold, structural light that mirrored the scenic geometry of the set. We focused on the spatial depth of the stage, using light as a physical material to define the volume and scale of the performance area. By synchronising our palette with the immersive screen content, we were able to transform the environment for each unique artist, ensuring the transition between performances felt like a seamless evolution of a single, coherent narrative.

The Result: A high-calibre study in Collaborative Scenography. By bridging the gap between structural form and atmospheric storytelling, we realised a visual environment that commanded the space. The result was a high-intensity, polished spectacle that captured the spirit of the independent sector with the weight and authority of a major global landmark.
