Our Kind of Vegas Residency

The Vision: The creative ambition was to materialise a world that balanced the high-stakes glamour of a Las Vegas residency with the raw, acoustic intimacy of a Nashville songwriter’s round. Tasked with creating a space that could transition seamlessly between these two envoronments, the narrative sought to tell the band’s story through a sophisticated Art Deco lens. The intent was to create an environment that felt both monumental and deeply personal, grounding the performance in a timeless, theatrical elegance.
The Manifestation: NeonBlack provided the creative direction, lighting, and scenic design, developing a structural reality inspired by classic Art Deco motifs. A core element of this design was the set of bespoke, tiered chandeliers—custom-engineered and fabricated to act as the primary architectural anchors of the stage. We created a versatile theatrical environment featuring plush, illuminated soft goods and an Austrian drape, which allowed us to physically contract the space for the intimate "Bluebird Cafe" section of the show. We also directed the digital content in collaboration with Normal Studio, ensuring the three-dimensional backdrops functioned as seamless extensions of the physical set. By synchronising the lighting with both the custom scenic elements and the digital environments, we materialised a lens-first vibrancy that maintained a rich, textured depth across every section of the performance.
The Result: The residency realised a critically acclaimed fusion of storytelling and spectacle, earning a Knight of Illumination Award nomination. By leading the creative and technical narrative, we manifested an environment that felt inherently sophisticated while remaining true to the band's narrative roots. The result was a polished and engaging evening that demonstrated our capability to design, fabricate, and direct multi-layered, transformative environments for world-class residencies.
