Ben Howard
Collections from the Whiteout Tour

The Vision: Working as Production Designers, our objective was to translate the wistful, intricate textures of the Collections from the Whiteout era into a coherent live environment. Ben’s vision was one of minimalism and warmth, driven by the cinematic content of long-time collaborator Allan Wilson. The challenge was to create a space that felt both expansive and deeply intimate—a "living gallery" that moved away from the symmetry of traditional stage design.
The Manifestation: The tour’s visual identity was built on asymmetry and found objects. We integrated everyday elements - including a genuine 1970s television - to act as domestic anchors within a larger, dreamlike landscape. By prioritising light and shadow over raw output, we sculpted the stage using a palette of soft, pastel tones that complemented the music’s drifting, organic nature. Every element was curated to feel "found" rather than manufactured, ensuring the technical craft remained invisible to the audience while providing a high-art, textural backdrop for the performance.
The Result: An immersive, textural environment that drew the audience into a curated, domestic-cosmic void. By bridging the gap between structural craft and atmospheric storytelling, we realised a visual world that resonated with the album's complex emotional landscape. The result was a hauntingly beautiful, "you had to be there" experience that translated with cinematic clarity across every screen.
