Khruangbin

The Vision: Khruangbin’s aesthetic is a precise blend of vintage soul and surrealist futurism. Our objective for the Space Walk tour was to materialise an "abstract space" theme without falling into sci-fi clichés. We worked to get inside the band's visual language, moving away from the traditional concert approach toward a more curated, cinematic environment.

The Manifestation: NeonBlack provided the lighting and scenic design, anchoring the stage with a series of monolithic scenic flats, integrating custom LED strips to define the geometry of the space. The layout was designed as an architectural landscape, providing multiple performance levels that subtly referenced a spacecraft’s interior while maintaining a clean, minimalist footprint.

The atmosphere was built on a dreamy, psychedelic lighting palette, sculpted to enhance the band’s presence rather than distract from it. To amplify the celestial narrative, the inclusion of dual, large-scale mirror balls as focal points, using them to fracture light and transform the entire volume of the room into a deep-space texture.

The Result: A striking, structural design that felt both intimate and expansive. By bridging the gap between scenic art and technical execution, we created a visual identity that translated with cinematic clarity, defining the band's most iconic touring era to date.
